Amy Sklar is an attorney with over 45 years of experience based in Long Island, New York. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont (B.A., May, 1977) and Hofstra University Maurice A. Dean School of Law (J.D., May, 1980).

Amy was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1981 and the Florida State Bar in 1983. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York.

Amy's primary practice area is matrimonial and family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support and maintenance, domestic violence, distribution of assets, post-judgment contempt, violation and enforcement matters, and pre-nuptial agreements and post nuptial agreements. She also handles real estate transactions.

Amy has served on various matrimonial and family law committees of the Nassau County Bar Association and the Nassau Suffolk Women's Bar Association. She has also volunteered to work with high school and law school students in mock trial preparation and competitions.

Amy has been recognized by Who's Who of American Women, Top Attorneys of North America, and Outstanding Women in the Law, and as a Martindale-Hubbell Client Silver Champion.

Ms. Sklar has a compassionate approach toward her clients. She believes that all clients deserve to be treated with respect.
