Mr. Jay J. Chung is a litigation partner with Lee Anav Chung White Kim Ruger & Richter LLP. Mr. Chung served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Judge Alex Kozinski, the former Chief Judge of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Chung is a past Board Member of the Executive Committee, Litigation Section of the State Bar of California.

Mr. Chung was formerly associated with Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan, LLP (now Holland & Knight LLP) and Frandzel & Share, LLP. Mr. Chung served as the outside General Counsel of Lotte BG America, Inc., Emmaus Medical,T3 Micro, Inc., Doosan America Corp., MaxForma, Inc. a U.S. Subsidiary of Hanwha and Enviroflex, Inc.

Mr. Chung’s reputation as a relentless, practical and winning trial lawyer has won him many accolades from his peers and clients. Mr. Chung specializes in complex, multi-party, high stakes business disputes and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in financial litigation, planning and execution of complex collection strategies, and judgment actions on behalf of banks and other financial institutions. Mr. Chung was the lead trial lawyer in multiple jury trials and has obtained multi-million dollar jury and bench verdicts in numerous cases involving financial fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract cases.  Based on his professional achievements, he was selected by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association as one of its Best Lawyers under 40 for 2005.  

Mr. Chung has advised Fortune 500 entities, mid-market companies, and foreign national diplomatic agencies in over one hundred litigation matters.  Mr. Chung has represented clients on complex litigation matters involving security interest disputes under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), contract litigation, real estate litigation, construction litigation, logistics litigation, trade secret litigation, financial fraud litigation, judicial and non-judicial foreclosure actions, and other claims against debtors and guarantors, as well as partnership disputes and commercial suits involving receiverships, attachments, and other complex and pre-judgment remedies.
